What is K-Laser?
As a class IV laser, the K-Laser has the ability to penetrate up to 4 inches deep! This unique ability is what allows the laser to repair damaged tissue on a cellular level. The K-Laser utilizes dual beam technology; one beam is responsible for penetrating deep to repair tissues, and the other beam is used to alleviate pain.
Why is the K-Laser such an effective healing tool?
Oxygen is one of the most essential components of healing. Unfortunately, when a region of your body is experiencing pain and inflammation, this region is also experiencing decreased oxygen supply. The K-laser increases blood circulation to the area it is treating, resulting in an increase in oxygen proliferation to these tissues. The K-Laser increases blood flow by creating tiny local temperature gradients on a molecular level that stimulate a cellular environment where blood cells are more likely to flow. In addition to oxygen proliferation, increased blood flow also provides inflamed tissues with much-needed nutrients, immune boosting cells, and maximizes the (ATP) energy output of each cell. This not only allows for a decrease in pain, but actually encourages damaged tissues to heal by rebuilding collagen.
While the Class III laser penetrated only a few millimeters, the Class IV Laser can penetrate over 4 inches deep into muscular skeletal tissue.

How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions needed varies based on the region of complaint, severity, and length of time this inflammation has been present. We generally recommend a minimum of 6-12 visits for maximum effectiveness. Conveniently, the treatment sessions take approximately 5 minutes and can be added on to your regular chiropractic treatment.
