Thinking Outside The Box With Team Members From Alameda’s Symmetry Health Center
Starting Ideal Protein® for me wasn’t about losing the weight like it may be for some people.
As a team member at Symmetry Health Center, I have learned a lot about healthy choices. I started Ideal Protein® to help get on track with nutrition and turn some of my unhealthy eating habits around.
After doing some research for recipes made from the Ideal Protein® foods, I found some ideas for ‘bread’!
I used the Broccoli and Cheese Ideal Protein® soup mix, two egg whites, 1 tsp olive oil, ¼ tsp baking soda, oregano, basil, garlic powder and salt to taste. I also chopped up some mushrooms and mixed that in.
I sprayed a small pyrex container with cooking spray and poured the mixture in. There is not a lot of the mixture, so the smaller the container, the thicker the ‘bread’ result will be. I suggest using a small pie pan or bread pan.
I baked this in the oven at 350°. After 8 or 9 minutes I checked on it and used a small spatula to flip it over, and continued baking another 3 or 4 minutes. The result is a moist bread/quiche like mushroom broccoli and cheese treat! This was a great way to change up to the soup mix!
